Collaborating and co-facilitating Nonviolent Communication classes with and for Incarcerated persons at Oregon State Penitentiary has been a profound experience for me. The class participants use NVC rigorously in high-stakes situations. Engaging with such genuine participation allows me to open more freely about my own sticking points and integrate NVC principles more deeply. Both the class itself and the teaching experience have helped me grow personally and professionally.
